Changing Inertia, Step by Step

Bob Kerrigan, Thompson School Board President, is looking forward to a bright future in Loveland schools.  In this guest column he wrote for the Loveland Reporter-Herald, he lays out specific steps to “move away from the inertia that has so often defined education and to bring the district fully into the 21st century.”  The vision he has for schools in Loveland is responsive and innovative. It’s exciting to hear an administrator talk about valuing great teachers and putting control into school buildings where it is best utilized…by those great teachers.  Most of all, it is encouraging to know that this last school year saw a 50% decline in students struggling with literacy.  Significant strides like this mean great things for the future of this beautiful city.

Tomorrow, Mr. Kerrigan will join Mandy Connell on am 630 at 7:00 AM.  Tune in to hear what he has to say about what’s next for Loveland schools.
